Beautiful early SA with belt and buckle by Eickhorn

    Hello Gentlemen

I like this and wanted to share it with you. Straight out of the woodwork, literally as it was found as you see it behind a drawer in an old piece of furniture. An early Eickhorn (ground Rohm I think) with the belt.

I just love the tiger stripe handle.

There is an additional strap on the hanger as though the user was adapting it as an additional hanger.

    What do you think?

    Regards

    James

    Great patina on the roundel.

    Nickel silver eagle I think

The blade is almost mint with lots of evidence of cross grain

I doubt very much that it has been exposed more than a few times over the last 60 years.

Is the positioning of the logo an indicator that this is a ground Rohm. I think it probably is. But it is almost impossible to see where it has been done.

I love the tiger stripe handle. You can see here the tight and undisturbed fits around the cross guard and with the blade.

Virtually impossible to see where the Rohm inscription was ground out. Under light there is a slight indication of the spine shape changing. I could be totally wrong which is why I wonder about the positioning of the logo

And the belt buckle with the makers mark on the reverse. Quite early I should say. Anyone know who the makers are?

James, now that is a real woodwork peice in mega condition

Most likely a ground Rohm that has been ground expertly by the factory imo

                Love that Tiger grip mate

That is a three peice marching hanger you have there as the small loop goes round the narrow part of grip near the top.

The buckle was made by maker Linden & Funk & is very nice indeed
                Congrats to You

Correct Dave - I haggled for over 2 hours - but I just love it.

Haggle away, I think this piece has all the bells & whistles. A great blade, super grip & even the original belt & buckle, very nice!

Beautiful dagger . Love the grip . You can tell its a Rohm not only because of the m/m location , but also because the motto is shifted slightly toward the tip.
                            Good score !
