    SS RØHM dagger... opinion

This is a very early Klaas røhm dagger. With the small makers mark to make place to the factory removed Røhm insciption. The markings of the parts are the same as another early klaas I ones owned. This dagger have a nice patina, but also a bit of damage, but othervice I think it is allright. I am considering listing it on estand, soo would like first to have some opinions.... thanks

    Nicolai

Looks ok to me,apart from the obvious condition issues

As a ground Rohm, its rather scarce as Klaas made less than 1000 of these.

The Klaas in this topic exhibits the classic traits that you would find with a dagger manufactured by this firm. ST marked crossguards, high neck silver eagle, stubby runic button, small Klass logo pertaining to their Rohm run, and hour shape grip. It's Klaas all the way.

It's interesting that the billet is exactly the same as what we find with Boker blades. But given the fact that Klass was not a true manufacturing firm, but actually chose to buy their parts and assemble 3rd Reich edged in house, it does further confirm this information.

I am Mike BUT 10 years I been going and I know I got more chance of finding a Blood Order in the Texaco garage on the way when I stop to fill up

have you ever checked the tang mark on your Klaas?

                        Regards,

                          Thanks

                          Thanks for the comments.

I where very careful when taking the parts off, there where no need for tools. The crip have the damage, but is not fragile. And would say the crip is not to hard to repair for a good craftman that know what he is doing. My own decission where to leave it alone. Well the estand price... I think its hard to value, and I think that a price allways need to have some room for a discount. Anyway it would not be soo hard on me if it do not sell, not the worst item too keep;-)
