    SS RZM 1211/38 for review

I just bought this on Estand and it's my first real purchase. I am a fairly new collector and still learning a lot. I would like opinions on this dagger just to make sure it's 100% OK. Some concerns are the SA type stamp on the PA marked crossguards, if I look close it almost looks like a "I" is stamped on top but it's very faint. Everything fits very tight but I notice very small gaps between handle and guards and blade and guard, just want to make sure on RZM's this is normal. Blade still has crossgraining but looks to have been polished ( I assume this is normal for most of us collectors to clean blades), bottom screws are buggered but I have taken stuff apart also so no big deal for me. A well cared for late RZM dagger that has been cleaned good is what I am hoping for. Thanks gents.

I'm sorry, but I think that this is a parts dagger. The cross guard should not have a Gau or district stamp on it (looks like someone tried to add a roman numeral there. I think they have been switched. The grip has been played with for sure, the SS emblem is fake.

Make sure the Estand description had all the things the guys have mentioned below... if not you may want to consider send it her back... Not the first kinda of big transaction you want, that is for sure... but with Estand rules, they must give you and inspection period, so you're fine.

And future advise... never clean/polish the blades... most collectors like untouched blades much better.

As a seller I have to say this: If you are unhappy with the item I will take it back, no questions asked as long as it is in the state in which it was shipped to you with no parts missing, cleaning, damage etc. I have a sneaking hunch I know where you purchased this(PM sent) He will either 'man up' and refund your money or vanish from the forum.
                  Regards,
                  Eric

Just wanted to chime in, if only I had known this was a parts dagger. The buyer and I have agreed to return it and shortly there after I will be taking it apart and offering parts on estand. Can anyone please point out anything else wrong with it aside from the stamp and the runes? Also if someone could give me some insight on to decent prices for the parts please PM me.
