Value on 2nd model Luft dagger by Holler

It sounds more like you are describing a 1st model Luft by FW Holler. Be very careful, as Holler 1st mods are very common reproductions. Check the makers mark, you should be able to count, I believe, 17 degree markings on each side of the thermometer.

Uno mas point. Many of the repro Luft Holler's are marked Berlin, rather than Solingen. If marked Berlin, it's unquestionably a repro.

How does it sound like a 1st model? The majority of 2nd model daggers have had the gilt worn off of the pommel over the years. If it's a 2nd model, there are many variables like nickel vs steel scabbard (is it dented, scratched, etc), grip color, hairline cracks, etc

That's true. I was thinking in terms of the disc inserts on a 1st mod. and their pronounced "gold" swastikas.
