    SA Dagger Opinions

    Hello,

Being a buckle guy I was looking for some opinions (Good or Bad) on this SA dagger. Basically wondering if it looks like everything is correct for this dagger and was curious about the oxidation on the blade. The blade is nice and smooth and not rusted or pitted, but it has oxidation on it. Is it possible that the oxidation can be cleaned off or is it best just to leave it alone.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve

          Hmmm

          Hi,

I may be wrong, but I would identify these issues:

          1. Eagle insert seems to be a replacement - seems to be some kind of glue/epoxy behind and around it.

          2. The cross-guards do not match the date of the blade in my opinion - i.e. older cross-guards VS RZM blade.

          3. The fit of the grip and the cross-guards is not good - also making me believe the entire piece is pieced together from various parts/periods.

            Sorry Steve,

But it's a parts dagger. Nickel silver crossguards with gruppe marks with a RZM marked blade is a wrong configuration. Blade looks strange to me, may be a repro one.

            Regards,

            Ricardo

No problem ! I appreciate the evaluation on this.

So as a parts dagger how much could I expect to sell this for?

              Thanks,
              Steve
