1st model luft dagger F.W. Holler

Hey guys I picked this up earlier today.I don`t know much about these and after reading some of the previous post about these Holler`s I`m now a little worried.The thermometer has 17 ticks on each side and is nice and crisp.This isn`t the aluminium version.The dagger has great patina and shows really nice age.The grip has a few nicks in the leather and the scabbard is a little beat up to.So what do you guys think?

Hope I didn`t go to crazy with so many photos.There`s a smudge on the blade from my thumb also.Thats not damage to the blade.

Outside of missing the grip bezel, this Holler 1st Luft looks original to me. Appears to be a mid-period manufacture.

I agree with Wags other then the grip ferrule missing it’s an original example. These mid period examples are made with inferior base metals and thus most of the time does not have the beautiful look of the early silver or later aluminum versions. Worry not the Holler fakes are not very good and are easy to spot.

I like the way this 1 has aged much more then the "brand new" look of the aluminium ones.I`ll have to look into replacing the missing ferrule,I hadn`t noticed it was missing.
