    Polish RADOM bayonet with WaA

    Hello

I recently got this Wz28 polish bayonet and I have a few questions about it.
As you can see it was reissued to the german and W77 was stamped. Usually these reissued Wz28 bayoents are blued and this one is "in the white".
Do you know some other Wz28 reissued "in the white" or do you think the blue has been removed ?
What about the number on the crossguard and scabbard ?
I have been told it was KM number but I have doubts.

    Regards
    Alain

        bayonet

I think that you have a very nice Kriegsmarine issued Polish bayonet. I have seen a couple others over the years that have had Ostsee KM markings on them and your's looks good. I think that it probably was blued at one time but is really hard to tell in the pictures. It looks like traces of blue on the ricasso and on parts of the pommel. If you could remove the grips, it would be more apparent. Even so, you have a rare variation . I have only seen one other KM marked Polish bayonet [also had waffenamts on both bayonet and scabbard] with a matched scabbard. If you get tired of it, I would be more than happy to take it off of your hands.
