When I was looking for a Hunting Association dagger I wanted the fanciest specimen I could find. And when I saw this one for sale at a gunshow I knew this was the one. I suspect that is was produced postwar but the workmanship and the design were traditional and flawless. The blade has no maker mark but the style suggests it could have been Eickhorn.
