I post my knife here regarding the discussion about if these always should be 100% number match
My knife match in all numbers exept on the lever, how come?
It have not been change IMO

Very nice Andy, IMO with regard to the spring lever, because it cannot be detached from the body of the knife without breaking it, then it does not need to have a matching number, this is quite common on 2nd pattern take downs where the rest of the numbers match.

As long as the spring and the catch both have the same number I do not see it being a problem and original to the knife.

Has the textbook late war bluing that is worn away in a typical manner.
