Red Cross Officers Dagger

I have the chance to buy this it is very salty. It was found in a Estate sale of a wwii vet. I am interested in it for the blade. The blade looks good with actual signs of age. Sorry about the pictures they are all I have. It looks like someone was hitting the end of the pommel with a damn sledge hammer.
