The police emblems shown were used only in Prussia. The police emblem on the bayonet I show above was changed to the eagle and swaz for the entirel Prussian state including the police.

Yes, we know that stars with a prussian eagle without swaz shown here were used only in Prussia. We also know that FJK SA was organised and operated only in Prussia.
As you know, FJK SA bayos do not carry any marks exept MMs. On the contrary, Police bayos usualy do.
There are not any period documents regulated the use of FJK stars in Prussian Police in 1933-1936.
Finally, the FJK had around 1800 members. This SA organisation operated for a year and a half and it's bayos are a rare find for collectors. Prussian Police bayos with Weimar period star design are not as rare. If Prussian Police used FJK emblems it would be easy to find them today.

Andrew, we must agree to disagree then. But in parting, remember that the new police star using the swaztika on the eagle breast was newly introduced in 1933, so it would have only been in use on bayonets needed and newly made for those FJK men and other police use.

You asked for period document regulating the use of "FJK" stars in Prussian Police in 1933-1935. So here is a clip from a 1935 police magazine quoting official Ministry of Interior orders showing a change in the uniform for the FJK that had been absorbed by the Prussian Schutzpolizei.



You will note that in section 4) here the FJK men are instructed to stop using the "Pol-Stern" (that's POLICE STAR) and "SA-Dienstgradabzeichen" (that's SA rank insignia).

Do you understand now that the star on the collar was called a POLIZEI STERN?

Thanks Joe! Very interesting document. But what was the reason to stop using "Pol-Stern" for ex-FJK members if they were transfered to Prissian Police? It's understandable to stop using the SA rank collars if now they are becoming Prussian Policemen, but not the "Pol-Stern" (if you are right in the statement that FJK and PP have similar stars). Probably the Interior Dept ordered to stop using FJK "Pol-Stern" because of their special design?

The Prussian Ministry of Interior ordered the changes to the FJK uniforms (removal of SA collar insignia and Pol-Stern from collar tabs) in order to conform more to the civilian police uniform. Notice the SA arm chevron and NSDAP armband were to be removed in para. 5). Earlier in the order the SA Kepi was changed to Pol Dienstmutze with Police eagle insignia and national cockade.

By 1934, a newer police insignia was introduced for caps that had the thin police eagle within the wreath of laurel leaves.
