    Coal Black Plumacher

Well at least that is what I am trying to capture! I am playing with my camera today and trying to use natural indirect light and different angles to capture the black fittings on one of my Heer daggers. I showed pics of this one before but the pics were taken in direct sunlight that washed the black out to a grey look. Any tips on how you guys do it?? like to make pics good enough to steal for your desktop! Thanks for any info or opinions on photography or the dagger. Kevin.

This early Plumacher has all the features that get all the 'juices' flowing for a Army dagger collector. - Very nice. Thanks for showing.

                          Kevin,

A beautiful looking dagger, it hits all the marks. I have a Plumacher as well although it's not as nicely patinaed as yours & the grip isn't as dark. It's my only Heer dagger as I never saw the need for another. This one was from the early glory days of Eban.

I love the coal black patination. That is one maker that still eludes my collection.

                            Regards,
                            Frank

                              THANKS guys!

Billy G, Great looking Plumacher you have! Very cool to see the next generation of this maker! I see the crossguard changed (still a rare guard!)and they went away from the slant grip, and it still has the early style pommel. Do you know if it has a thin or tapered tang?,are the fittings light metal or brass based?? Does it still have the Pack style scabbard with two domehead screws?? Kevin.
