modern day repro's

Lately i've read in several posts that the repro daggers nowadays are getting better and better, the etched reproductions are becomming harder and harder to recognize from real ones etc so i was wondering... won't there come a time (maybe soon or maybe it's already here) where the collector won't be able to recognize a real one from a fake anymore?
With the knowledge and technologies people have these day i'm sure it must be perfectly possible to 'reproduce' a dagger in a way that you can't tell it's 3days old instead of 70 years.
I'd love to see read some opinions about this subject...

I agree with red , having said that there seems to be a trend in obtaining proof that your collectable is legit , just look at what the XRfact.com guys are doing with helmets ! though a good idea , it's a very scary prospect , also it would be worth noting that this is nothing new in the art world , it's been happening for centuries and they HAVE fooled experts ! keep your wits about you
