Hi Ron, your dagger looks to be in excellent condition. I'm new to this forum but I have been collecting daggers for many years. However, I only have six (6) and I am NO expert and learning the hobby now that I'm retired. I have a question about the eagle on the handle of your dagger. The finish looks to be very different from the rest of the dagger (not as old), and the swastika looks to be fairly wide. Is this normal? I have an SA and SS dagger and the swastika on both look to be much narrower and a bit smaller set in the wreath.

Don,
Will have to let the experts advise us on the finer points.
This one was a direct veteran acquisition, so would have to believe that this is the way the dagger was produced.
Best way for me to judge is to look at the hundreds of SA and SS daggers posted on this forum for comparison.
