    Problem

    Respect.
I am a beginner in collecting bayonets, so I am interested in one thing.

Is the whole bayonet a fake, or just inflicted on the subsequent engravings?
If the whole fake, can you tell me at what?
An apology to the very poor English and a knowledge of the bayonet.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi CL and welcome to the forum.
The bayo is likely original with an added engraving. Normally the blade is disassembled from the hilt to engrave it then reassembled, often resulting is some damage. These bayo's in a plain blade are not too expensive, normally under $200.
Hope that helps and good luck in your collecting.

Thanx. But I thought I was. Three days to study the bayonet, I could've found one any grudge, except for engraving.
Paul - you've an excellent site, it is a joke for the little guy is the best thing I've seen lately.
