    Opinions invited K98 Bayonet and Knot

    Hi guys, would like opinions on this K98 bayonet. Any info/significance relating to it's green knot would be welcomed. Maker is FW HOLLER & matching serial # to blade and scabbard is 4188 C. Frog is marked Franz Jos Rothe Braunschweig 1941

      It is a knot for cavalry units of the Heer.

        Hello
        Green stem and crown are for headquarter.
        Some artillery regiments also used a green leather strap. Not easy !!!

            You can find information about german knots in the book "German bayonets 1919-1945" by George T. Wheeler.
