Eickhorn SA Dagger

Hey guys,
My parents neighbour dropped this one off, his dad brought it home from the war. He is looking for information on it and I don't collect German stuff, so I hope someone can help here.
The condition isn't great, someone has tried to sharpen the blade the back side is all scratched up, the tip of the scabbard is dinged and there is paint on it.
I read on a dealer site that this may be a rarer makers mark, but not sure on that.
The hilt(??) is marked Nm, can someone tell me what that stands for, please?

The dagger is SA ground Rohm dagger. That damage on the blade is period done to remove Rohm inscription.

This is what is refered to as a "Ground Rohm" SA dagger. Originally there was a dedication from Ernst Rohm (first head of the SA) to his men,"In heartfelt comradship Ernst Rohm" but after Rohm and some of his friends grew "to big for there boots" for Hitler,he had them "Purged". So all SA men afterwords were ordered to remove the dedication. Otherwise this is a common dagger by a common maker.(Ground Rohm's aren't very rare,just another catagory) "Nm" is the "Gau mark" or group area of the SA this dagger belonged to,in this case Nordmark. He said he would like to sell it, what is something like this worth? A common dagger by a common maker in not great condition? I have checked the dealer sites but can't find anything in the same or near the same condition and prices vary a great deal from site to site.

In this rough condition especially the blade $450-$500 imo

As you likely know, dealer sites aren't an accurate guide to real world pricing anyhow.
They typically ask for 50 to 100% more than you or I can expect to get.
Sometimes they get it, other times their items sit for months & years, until the price is dropped to something more realistic.
They get more because they have the client base, selection, turnover, trust & exposure that an average Joe will never have.

I could see this going for $600-$700 on a dealer site, which means $350-$500 for you.

It's rough old bird for sure, I'm no expert on these but I would say the marks on the reverse of the blade either point to an erased Rohm or one that someone has tried to make it look like an erased Rohm, whatever, not one I'd have in my own collection.
