    SS Dagger...Boker!!!

Hi Guys, after seeing some SS Daggers that have been posted for opinions, thought i would share mine
My only question is, why did they stamp the benchmark, 3 in my case here.
I never had the vertical hanger off, so i can't say if it's SS marked or not, just don't believe in removing anything, it's been on there since i got it, 20+ years ago.
Down side, is 3 small chips to the blades edge
    But, i still like it
    Enjoy!
    Regards,
    Gary

The 3 nicks look bigger from the pics, hard to see in hand

Nice dagger Gary looks like the pimpled motto one, it sure is a quality dagger though typical of Boker i beleive. Regarding the bench mark number im not too sure myself i have a number 1 stamped on my Eickhorn rohm SA dagger and i thought that only Rohm daggers were benchmarked? im no expert tho im pretty sure one of the more knowledgable members will know for sure.
                  Regards Adam

Thanks Adam, maybe 1 is for Eickhorn, and 3 is for Solingen?

This is very interesting. I have never seen a bench marked Böker and I'm learning new stuff every day. Has anyone else ever seen a bench marked Böker... or any other maker than an Eickhorn?

Very nice dagger, however I'm surprised to see the benchmark on any other dagger than Eickhorn. These numerals were
assigned by the manufacturer as a certain type of quality control. You can see all10 numerals stamped on Eickhorn crossguards. It's believed each number was assigned to adequate controler.
It would be interesting to know the internal caster markings of your dagger crossguards.

                          without a doubt,
a nice example with typical blistering motto.

but the benchmark makes me wonder also!

                          @Adam

i 've seen it on rohmblades and on daggers with big TM

                          Regards,

Indeed if these guards are the internally cast Böker type we have a new bit of knowledge here.
