Unusual Army Dagger Eickhorn etched logo with ugly squirrel and lettering...I see nothing suspect with the dagger itself...opinions? Ed

Yeah, it's a late model, certainly the xguard is the last of the 4 types produced by Eick and I do believe the TM is quite sought after by type collectors.

The logo is a poor strike and same as this LW.

Looks correct to me. Just to be precise, contrary to other Eickhorn logo variations this one is not acid etched but stamped. As etching is time consuming process, the producers tended to stamp the markings wherever it was possible, i.e. the surface was flat. See all HJ knives, Police/SS and Army swords, KM daggers - logos them are always stamped. Middle part of the Army blade turned out to be big enough for the small stamp to be used (or small stamp was created to be used on Army/LW blades).
