My first Luftwaffe 1st by WKC ?

    Hello gentlemen.

I´m not a dagger guy, but I´m looking for first pattern Luftwaffe dagger for my collection.

I´m more to nickle/silver type rather than Aluminium type. I have done some research on these daggers and I like what I see here.

This one is on hold for me atm. But I realy like a second opinion from you guys befor I trhow the big bucks

The contition is pretty good and the scabbard is whole. But the nickle/silver has a dark finish. I´m not sure if that is good or bad.

I like this one and price is 995$

    What do you guys think?

    Regards Hlynur.

            Thx for your reply.

Yea I see that it´s missing one of the grip wire and I have passed on this dagger for now.

I´m still looking for decent 1st luft dagger out there for price under 1000$

I have one question about dagger that I might have found. Unmarked blade, is that something I need to be worry about?

An unmarked blade is not a problem in itself if the rest of the dagger is correct but, like yourself, future potential buyers may have a problem with it and settle for a maker marked blade instead.

Yea, I don´t see it as a problem and I´m not buying to resell. The dagger itself looks good imo. Transitional pice.
In other hand I can say it´s a rare one , I have been looking for some time all over the place for 1st luft dagger and this is the first that I see a unmarked one. But that doesn´t matter to me, if the dagger is orginal, good looking and in one pice. I´ll take it

The price don´t hurt at all 695$. While many other sellers are selling it for 1000$ and up. I guess the maker mark on blade tells something of what the dagger is worth.

Here are few pictures... and to the sharks out there, this dagger is on hold

                          Beautiful :-)

Beautiful :-) I think you made the right choice, despite the blade not being marked. I myself would rather have one I can afford and in great condition like yours for some 700 USD than to get one that is marked and over 1000 USD. Just a matter of preference I guess.

                            Nice one indeed.
As for the maker/no maker blades, whether you plan to re-sell or not, buying something that appeals to the masses as well as yourself will make it easy to liquidate if an emergency comes up or if you leave the hobby.I completely understand the price issue though.....
                            Regards,
                            Frank (the shark)

                              Thx guys.

I got it now in my collection and I´m extremly happy about it. It´s hard to get dagger to Iceland becasue of stupid laws

Is it possible to see who is the maker of this dagger?

                              Here are some pictures.
