Hey all, I picked up a Transitional Eickhorn NSKK dagger today. The condition isnt bad. The paint on the scabbard is great. The handle is nice, with a tiny crack above the roundel. No dents. The blade has a small spot of pitting, also has some tarnish on the side with makers motto. I just thought I would share my new dagger. Any comments and information are welcome. I heared this is the most common transitional, is that correct? I have seen numerous examples on the web at all kinds of crazy prices, ranging from $800 to $1200. due to the blade I would this is worth at most $800, likely less? Lastly the guy I got this from has another transitional, from A. Everst. its an SA dagger with hanger, and a blade with some pitting and sharpening near tip. He wants $600, is that fair? I am only asking ecause I am not too familiar with the maker A. Everst.
