Miniature HJ???

Greetings: I just acquired this miniature knife and am not sure what it is. I am quite sure it is pre 1945 but am not sure if it is a salesman example or a miniature HJ knife or ???????. Any ideas? Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Could be pré-war or post war IMO. These things were also made in the 50's with correct type of scabbard without the "typical" post-war lip.

It is described as a "German Young Peoples" Knife (DJ by LTC. Tom Johnson in Volume II Collecting The Edged Weapons Of The Third Reich.

Greetings Ron: Thank you for all who replied and to you Ron for some great information and accompanying photo documentation. I was beginning to think I would not be able to identify this knife. I am quite satisfied it can be classified as a "young peoples" knife.

I have always been under the impression that these were "DJ" hitler youth knives as well. they make a great display sitting right next to the HJ knife and your badges, i must say!
