I collect SS militaria from over 25 years but I have never owned an SS Dagger and now I decided to got my first one.
I have no experience in this field so I would ask if a price within 2000Euro is reasonable for an example in very good condition .

Thanks for your reply Adren.Surely I will post the pictures before to buy one but I'm looking here on the e-stand and on more web site and I have to admit that is not so easy to find one I like,especially because I would prefer to find the dagger here in Europe.

Let's make clear one thing, since it seems like some guys here misunderstood you :
1. do you want to know if some particular dagger you've found is worth to spend 2000 euros on?
or
2. you simply want to know if it is possible to find very good conditioned daggger for 2000 euros

The answer for question no.1 is : send the pictures and we'll try to help you.

The answer for question no.2 is : it may be hard task. You may get something decent and original for this money, but forget about anything above excellent (if you look for an early model).
You can buy nice late RZM piece for this money, but it may take a time to find it.

I agree about guys like JR and Wags having great SS daggers, but they are not charity mission, so when they sell, they price the stuff accordingly to the condition and nobody well oriented will let very nice conditioned early SS go for $2500.

If you prefer to look for a dagger in Europe, it may be even more tough, since there is less good stuff offered here and prices are higher. More fakes as well.

OK,i will try to clarify,with my bad English,my first post.

I would like to add a dagger to my collection and I know nothing about this field.
I have find nothing I'm interested inn at the moment so I have no pictures to post.

I would like to find a Dagger here in Europe only because this kind of item can procure troubles with the Italian customs.I have had a lot of deal out of Europe but never with Daggers.

I would add another 500 euros at least, then you would have
a chance of something decent . Don,t bother with a rzm one,
get an early maker marked one. Also take your time, look for
one in good condition that has not been messed about with.

I also would not send a SS dagger to Italy. I don't think JR would either. Right JR?

$2,500 ! Gee, I wish I could buy nice, early SS daggers for that amount. Wait!...I would have to buy them for $2,000 so I can sell them for $2,500 !

I would buy a dozen right way, that way I can sell half for $2,500 to my friends! ..And nothing makes a friend smile more than getting a great SS dagger for little money.
