Not in best shape, but it is original. I am not sure if this maker had a maker mark on the front of the blade. I know that some of them had it. If not it could be the blade is turned.

It's original and an uncommon maker. Too bad it isn't in better condition.

It's possible the blade was originally like this. Some makers, including Spitzer, had their maker marks on the obverse for whatever reason. Often times people go & swap the blades to the reverse position but some were hand fitted to the obverse position. I have an early RLB EM dagger where this was also the case, all parts were fitted to the blade only having the maker mark on the obverse. Not sure if that's the case here but it may very well be.

As far as the dagger itself, it looks nice & original but, as Phil says, a shame it isn't in better condition. Luft daggers are plentiful. If you like the maker, I'd suggest you hold off & find another in better condition except if the price is super low.
