Appears to be a dress bayonet; perhaps 1898? This thing measure 26 inches long and is marked with the helmet logo of WKC (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Company). It has, what appears to be its original leather scabbard & frog which I can find no markings on. The blade appears nickel plated so I’m guessing a dress bayonet. I’m uncertain if WKC is a rare maker of bayonets of this period or not but, where I’m essentially clueless on blades I would like to hear any information folks might be willing to share.
Thanx in advance, Rick
