Today I have been offered a Luftwaffe survival machete in its scabbard without frog in good condition marked Alcoso. £200 is the asking price is this a fair price. (sorry no photo's available).

Hi thanks for warning but it is right, I have had a little look at the fakes on the net and they dont really compare there not even maker marked. Saying that also seen some real ones from US dealers and there a couple thousand dollars this seems to much, I know its uncommon but its hardly a very desirable looking item.

Got it at last

Managed to get this today at last, got it in a deal, although it did cost a little more than £200. Its in good condition, has a few paint spots on it, as it has been hanging on a wall. Otherwise pretty sound.
