Himmler Letter opener

I have seen these before at the big shows by the big name dealers and have always thought it would be cool to own one. I now have the chance but need to see what the forum can tell me about it as far as originality. Typical rose wood damascus pattern with some rust.High relief areas appear to be done in gold. No maker which throws me and should be produced by Paul Muller and this is why I here. Is it something that I should purchase or is it a known fake?

This does not seem to me to have attributes of an original period item.
I also don't think these were even made by Muller post-war.
I think it's just fantasy junk. I wouldn't have one.

To me it looks just awful,like it was made in 7th grade metal shop and probably was.

Just run! I even don't thrust the good looking examples because of Müllers post war work.

Don't spend a single cent on this "letter opener".
One must be quite gullible to actual consider this to be a historical item or maybe just naive.

Agreed, there is no way the pictured piece is a Müller piece. It's not even a good reproduction of a Müller piece. Save your hard earned money for something period or at least quality.
