The only way that one could look any nicer would be if I had it! Congradulations.

The stag grip seems to be replaced and with a new wreathed eagle on top of it, probably because of the removal of the wreathed eagle on the original grip.
Hence, the thickness of the stag grips is different and the bayonet has new rivets. Apart from that it looks like a nice bayonet.

Any idea what the number stamped on the blade spine means?

It's an accountability number. Many of these pieces are also marked with a city code & district symbol so that the individual weapon is heavily marked. This one sadly is not but it's no less nice.
