Here is an Alcoso Damascus Naval Shooting Prize for Rifle in 1937 to an Oberleutnant Schultz from the commander of the German Navy. This prize was given out in the 1930s to Rifle, Pistol and Artillery (3) each year and I only know of two currently. Does any body else know of one in another collection? The officer was listed in the Naval Orders for each year for each dagger.

For those wanting better blade pictures, see Tom Wittmann's Navy Daggers book. There is a four page spread on this very dagger towards the back. Ron
Note of Interest: This dagger was a pre-Nazi 1938 pommel type and the German Leut. replaced the onion ball top with the Nazi Eagle and swastika. You can tell this as the color of the brass is slightly different.
