Very nice. You might be missing the small chrome collar that goes between the hand gaurd and the leather grip. Not sure from the pics, I'll let those with more knowledge elaborate on the rest.

My guess is that it does look authentic. I've had ones similar to that, on bayonet blades and army blades. It's not "pretty" but in my view, it's original.

While it's hard to say for sure from the one relatively close up image, I'm thinking that the inscription might be etched instead of engraved. FP
