Opinions on Heer Dagger

I believe the dagger may be good but the scabbard an old copy (has that swirley pattern). The handle is plaster filled and for some reason I can't take it apart as it is frozen and I don't want to force it. Blade has some rust spots. Just wanted to run it by the dagger pros here. Thanks in advance,

The scabbard is totally legit. The grip is plaster filled ( possibly wood ) and probably moulded to the blade tang since factory installing. This filler will be very brittle now, so do not force anything unless you want to end up with a grip that rotates like a whirly gig.

Its a typical late war Holler produced army.

Alright fellas, thanks for the info, shows how little I know. I don't collect daggers and had heard that the swirley pattern was a very bad thing. Condition is a little rough but I might actually keep this one for my collection. Good news after a very long week.

Dagger is all correct Holler,scabbard struck me as an early Eickhorn with the convex hanger bands but I cant see any throat retaining screws? does it(the scabbard) have any? The pics all show the "inside" of the scabbard. Kevin
