    Denazified Eickhorn Army Dagger

Just picked this up for a little over 200$, vet purchased in Germany during the 60's. Wondering if anyone has a lead on a correct crossguard for this? Thanks, Chris...

Nice early Eickhorn. Try Tom Johnson for parts.

Too bad about the crossguard. That's a nice engraving on it.

            Eickhorn Army

Hi Chris, Looks like it has a screaming blade, cross guard although has had the swaz. removed is personalized. That's a big plus that can't be replaced. Other than putting it in the scabbard the correct way I wouldn't do anything to it.. Save your coin and don't replace the cross guard. You stole it if you got it for around $200. Keep it as it is.......early double oval Eick. with personalized cross guard it's a keeper even without the swaz. If the rest of the blade looks as good as the pictures shown and you don't want it I'll give you $200 for just the blade. Van.......

                Dagger

I agree with you guys, I'm not going to attempt to "restore" it with a correct crossguard, it is what it is and part of the history of the dagger, especially with the personalized monogram, denazified or otherwise. Chris...

Chris hat's off to you Sir!
The denazification is yet another chapter it this daggers history. Many today turn their noses up at these but I do believe that it speaks to the period and the "evil" the Allies made the symbol out to be.
On the bright side maybe you wife will let you display it!!
Regardless it's a beauty and I'm happy for you.
