Thats the Question...No one seems to know exactly.Forestry of some sort...When? 20's...Country?...Possibly German or that area.

Pre WW2 Weyersburg and Kirschbaum maker mark,definately German. Looks to be a very nice version of a private purchase "Stand Hauer" ,a utilatarian hunting knife that is made for really using in the field versus a cerimonial piece like other "fangers". Thick workman like blade that is useful in the cutting of wood or butchering a stag. I would guess WW1 era. Kevin.
