I was watching this from the beginning thinking it was "something" but not knowing. The name on the blade is a nice touch, whatever the piece's purpose.

Just a Idea, could the Acorn on the scabbard point towards it possibly being a Forestry/Hunting Assoc. Dagger/Hunting Knife

The scabbard is in bits as well as the frog but the grip is pristine?

I was thinking some sort of private purchase hirschfänger type knife but aside from a possibky rare hilt type, maybe the signature on the blade comes back to someone known to history?

made in the time 1914-1930

over 80 years old

the length over all is 16 3/4 inches /42 cm

blade length 10 1/4 inches /26 cm

with leather-scabbard in very good condition

black horn grip,

blade in very good conditionlike "mirror closs´"!!
