garbage or not?

Forgive my ignorance...but I know absolutely nothing about German daggers...
someone has showed me this one....that apparently was purchased from a lot belonging to the argentine president juan peron...I showed it to someone that said its a copy.....could be...or not...just would like some confirmation of the same....since when were copies being made?

I think it just needs some "product improvements". Maybe another swastika or two. And that red "HJ" emblem in the grip has to go. Thinking that one of those nice blue emblems would go nicely with the gold eagle on the scabbard.

But the 'story' about Juan Peron, that has to stay. It's the most 'creative' one I've seen this year. (With the sad part of this fake somewhere down the road. When the item is sold to someone who thinks that it's real - because that is what the seller told them.) FP

but ...believe it or not
the Peron part is true.............
at some point there was an auction with various personal items of his
including a cellar of badly taken care of old wines and whiskeys..
this and other things came from that basement...
that part is true....the only part...
which is why i was asking since when copies were being made....
anway.....
