SS Eickhorn Hiller inscription help needed!!

Hey All

Been offered this dagger - seller says it belonged to an uncle who picked it up "years ago" at a flea market. Looks like a good dagger with a bad Himmler inscription? Would value any and all opinions......

It's a well known fake, the inscription is flawed, but the main point of recognition on these is the point over the "i" in Himmler. I can't remember which now, but they were apparently made by either Attwood or are early Reddick. They were sold as complete daggers, so I would have little confidence in the entire dagger having been made in the early 30's.

I did put the photo up agains the one on Wittmans site too, the style of the inscription seems to be all off. Guy wants 1700 USD for it.

If you think of buying an SS dagger, I would STRONGLY recommend you to buy T.Wittmann's book first. It will be the best favour you'll do for yourself as a collector.

Looks like a typical Reddick blade.
I remember him saying he had them deliberately
made to look "Off Key" so as not to be seen
screwing the Collector with a fake.I bought the
Rohm for $80 in the ,80,s at a MAX Show.
