    LW=copy, SA=good, KM=at least heavy repaired, just look at the handle.

    I would grab the SA and return the rest if the price isn't really low.

      There you have it in a nutshell. Be careful, sellers with fakes often have more than one to sell. Stick with the SA only, if the price is right.

        I wonder what year the repro 2nd Luft dates from? As you see, the Berlin as opposed to the Solingen is visible on the Weyersbertg maker mark. The inception of the Berlin marking was the result of essentially a copyright issue....I just don't recal what year or years that transition took place. I'm thinking in the late 60's-early 70's. If anyone has a firmer date, i'd like to hear it.

        Sbc- there are number of the somewhat later Span repros with the Berlin marking..often we see it on the phony Holler 1st pattern Lufts and 2nd pattern Lufts. These do have a collectibility in their own right however.
