KS98 short model with knot??

Greetings all,
After reading through some old threads, is it safe to say that is a KS98 Short model dress bayonet for Luftwaffe?, it had the red felt piece in the slot, but now i can't find it
Also is this the correct knot / troddel for this?
I picked up a decent size vet grouping, and the knot was not wrapped around the dress bayonet.
In the group was also a early Hunting cutlass, with motif of a drum on one side, the other with motif and helmet and looks like crossed pick axe and shovel....it wouldn't go with that piece..right?
Thanks for any help, reading through all those threads has got me more confused now

Your knot is an nco knot , the red felt would usually indicate army (heer) ,not sure why its in a luft frog though ! , is the back strap of the frog black ? it may be just the pic

Thanks Will, yes the back of the frog is black, so i guess it is the KS98 army short model.
Also no makers mark on the frog.

IMHO, the red felt would indicate "Artillary" and the brown frog would indicate "Luft." Not sure about the knot.

I still can't find the red felt piece, it was there
The frog is black, but the front part is brown....wierd, and no makers mark or dates i can see.

Red- Wehrmacht Armed Forces, FLAK, Police units
Green - Jager Formation, Police units
Golden Yellow- Aviation formations
Light Green -Aviation Supervisory troops
Brown -Aviation Communications troops , as full a list as i've seen ! there are debates about a blue insert also , but who and what no-one seems to be able to pin it down, i also have a frog with a brown front , i discussed it with frogprince on gd he seems to think it could be period depot repair , hope you find the insert

I think the front of your frog just faded some showing the natural brown color. The knot is for a Heer NCO, so it's all correct together (short bayonet, black frog, Heer NCO knot).
