First Posting - JWH 44 Query

G'Day All from Downunder,

Newbie here. Been looking at picking up a K98 Bayonet and done some research.

Saw a matched JWH 44 on the bay that just sold for $600. Its numbered in the "v" series, which I believe is the last known series for that year. My query is would that price be a reasonable price to pay? Was certainly a beautiful example from my novice opinion.

Hi.
According to my three letter code book'jwh' was a french manufacturer of s84/98,which might explain the price.Here in 'pommy land' I've noticed the current price for k98 bayonets is about £95 to just over £100 for one complete with a frog(oh for the days when you could pick 'em up for a fiver)
