German officers dagger (cross guard)

Hi,
i have a german officers dagger made by eickhorn. It appears to be a solid example, but i was wondering if the cross guard looked authentic? It's quite clean with excellent detail, but i'm just not sure. The pommel appears to be a good match. The blade shows a bit of wear at the top, but the rest of the blade is very nice. All in all, a fairly standard piece, but hoping you can help me with the cross guard. Thanks in advance for your responses.

It's a type "A" generic crossguard. Don't know if Eickhorn used them. They had 4 crossguard designs themselves during the period. But everything seems to match nice...
