Firemans Bayo Knot first i've seen !

Hello,
I just aquired my first Firemans bayo knot but the dot is not pink but has a bullion dot like you would see on a army knot anyone know about this would it be for a NCO or higher ranking official.

The knot itself is in EXC+++ to Near Mint condition it's a keeper.

That's a nice knot. I have plenty of dress bayonets but none with the original knot attached. Do you have something to add it to yourself?

Yes i will be putting it on this Horst Wolff dress bayo as the condition of the two match perfect. Still would like to know about the portepee.

Looks like a completely period knot, I'd say it's a manufacturers variation.
