      Bob,

The "B" by itself would be for Bonn, "Bd" is for the Polizeischule at Brendenburg a.d. Havel. I don't believe there was a Polizeischule in Berlin.

        Billy.
I have one with P.B.229,searching the web and found this site.

        http://www.radix.net/~bbrown/police_unit_marks.html

According to the info here P.B. stands for Berlin police school.
I would appreciate your assistance on any further info available.

          Ian,

That's a good site & apparently you're quite right. Seems there was a difference between "P.B." (for Berlin Polizeischule) & "PB." (for Bonn Polizeischule). Finding a nice "P" marked & matched bayonet is kinda tough. Most I've seen were early Eickhorn double oval marked.

            Billy,
Spot on with period and maker mark.
