a little help needed

does the indention for the blade indicate that the crossguard is a fake? i have always thought that is what it means. please advise. thank u

Have you other photo of the dagger?
What I can say is that indention in some SA crossguard is 100% correct.
I've one too RZM M7/94 1939.
