Erfurt Sawback at Bargain Price

This recession is a blessing for us Aussie collectors our dollar is high and prices are low. I picked up this I would rate very good 98-05 Sawback, maker marked to Erfurt with a Leather Scabbard no missing stitches. Cost $165US heck I was paying $250 for these 3 years ago. That at the time was $350AU this baby was $180AU. I have a thing for Sawbacks. I think any bayonet collectors out there will agree.

I like these too. A nice ealy one with the big ears as I call them. lovely condition with the leather scabbard too,very nice. The price was a steal,I think you were lucky as I see them going for a lot more than that on US Ebay. I have a nice one like yours but without the sawback,a favourite of mine too by the way. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a lovely example where the sawback has been factory removed,leather scabbard too,something you do not see as much these days,rare things.
