    Sword help please

    Hi Guys,
I need some help with this one i just picked up.
Maker is Carl Grasser, it measures a little over 27" with sheath.
Condition is rough, i realize condition is everything, but the blade is almost mint.
Handle i guess is shark skin, with brass wire wraps.
I did a search on Carl Grasser, and it seems he was edged weapons maker from the 18th century.
Being so short and not having the curve blade, would it be an Austrian infantrymans sword?
Hope you can help indentify this and give some sort of value.
    Thank You.
    Regards,
    Gary

You have an Austrian Police short sword for Patrolmen and Sergeants.

                  Thank You Schupo
Any idea on the year it was used?
And maybe a ballpark figure on what it's worth?
                  Thanks Again
                  Regards,

                    Gary,

These swords were worn up until the Anschluss. I see them sell for around $200 - $300.
