SA Vertical Hanger Opnions Please

Posting for a friend as i don't know much about vertical hangers yet so im looking for a few people with knowledge on these to give their opnion.

Its a delicate piece, fragile in its present condition. Id say maybe worn possibly during the early ss years before the ss became its own organization. I imagine its rare , as i believe the ss and sa were attached to each other at one point. Then became estranged , as the SS turned on the SA. You dont see them like that but once in every 10 blue moons.

Eric, I don't know much about these either, but to me this hanger does not look right. The cracking would seem to indicate wear, yet the edges and corners look like they have seen very little wear. I could be completely wrong here, so it will be interesting to hear from someone in the know.

Theres been a good few of these Vertical hangers on ebay over the past week looking like this one with the Assmann marking on the clip from the same seller he also has black Verts going for cheap prices, i really think they are all aged repros including this one. check this out below.

I seen those too the one you show a link to has a mint back piece but the rest shows wear.
Wolfgang you may be right but this has the old leather smell and i do see wear at the edges i just have no clue what to look for other than that. I was tempted to get the black one he had listed even though i know next to nothig about them things did not add up or look right so i passed and saved my cash, this one on the other hand has the look i would expect to see. I would like to learn more about these.
The hanger does fit his scabbard perfect with a nice tight fit.

I dont like the Assmann stamping and the look of the Patination from the Clip. For me its a reproduction.

I am also no expert but something about the leather just seems off. Nothing like the typical 2 piece and 3 piece SA hangers that come up for sale. Not to immediately dismiss something that is different as bad-just be carefull and listen to all the opinions on the forum

The buckle is the give away too large, plus the price you wont
get an original for that money.
