    Dress Bayonet Siegfried Waffen.

Hello to everyone. I wonder what you think of this dress bayonet, and what could be its approximate price, I hope the pictures help you serve. Thank you very much in advance.

    Nice

It's a nice example of a standard long KS98 dress bayonet. The condition is quite good but the plating both on the blade and the body has slight issues. The value would be around 80 USD in my view.

I have a very similar unmarked one like this sans scabbard or frog I was "lucky" enough to find on fleabay for $35 + shipping ( which I thought was about what one should be WORTH ); but I generally see them going for MUCH more, and would be HAPPY to give you the $80 USD for it! They seem to routinely bring AT LEAST $150 there; and are just another example of a not-very-exciting or interesting ( READ: "non-combat related" ) piece of WWII German militaria that has lately risen above their intrinsic merit just because of where they're from. The vaunted etched examples are even more puzzling to me, though; they regularly bring $400-500 for NO reason that I can readily grasp except that they have eagles and swasticas on them!
