i have some concerns regarding the paint of the scabbard ...

I would agree with what the seller clearly states, there is a good chance that it was repainted at some time.

SInce the seller noted a repainted scabbard as a possibility, I don't have a problem with it. Since it's on hold now, there was apparently at least one other Forum Member who's okay with it.

IMO the condition of the scabbard is ok !

The painting on the clip, (exterior), is almost "untouched", the painting on the other parts of the scabbard´s faded away, obviously caused by "heavy" use ...
