Hi,
Just joined this group but have visited often. I have a fascination with military history and starting a meager collection for whatever i can discover. Anyway, I attended an estate auction this weekend for a knife which interested me. I like military era knives and recently aquired a Fairbaine Sykes type 3 for my collection, anyway The knife is stag handle dagger type with a 5 inch blade and is marked AW Wadsworth and sons Czechoslovakia. From what I have read, this company was in business between 1905 and 1917 and wondered if this could possibly be a trench knife? I have read previous posts and you guys have some beautiful knives which I wish I had but if you could give me your opinion. If its not military its still a nice knife in relatively good condition for being 90-100 years old.
I look forward to gaining more knowledge in the coming months as there has to be more AXIS knowledge here than any other site I have found so far.
