          cheers mates!
I've seen 'early' before but not one where the left arm goes straight out like mine; all I've seen are curved ones. is this then one of the VERY early production, like 33-34? if so, why does my scabb have 2 runners not one? (maybe later scabb?)

of course there's no ricasso and the motto is ... most fine!

Because the scabbard wont be the original if its a late scabbard on a early knife, its not the end of the world dont worry about it, who knows when it got replaced.... by a dealer or mixed up on HJ camp??

David this is a nice early HJ with correct stretch grips that Eickhorn used on early production. They used almost an endless number of logo's with small variations. Some suggest that the vintage can be determined by the logo alone and in some cases I believe the logos were used concurrently so it's not 100% for sure... but certainly indicative to vintage. This knife is one of the 1st made.
